Perch Clip Instructions

  1. Carefully measure and mark the desired locations for each perch end. Measuring to ensure symmetry on each side. Perch lips must be directly opposite from each other.
  2. Secure the predrill guide with the center screw in the desired location with the top two retention screw holes oriented towards the top of the enclosure.
  3. Drill the holes for the perch clip using a small drill bit
  4. Remove the guide and anchor the perch clip to the inner wall of the enclosure using a hand screwdriver to prevent stripping.
  5. Repeat the process on the opposite end of the enclosure.
  6. One perch clip has a pass-through hole that once secured can be drilled out to allow access to the inside of the enclosure running thermostat probes into the enclosure.
  7. Measure from one perch clip to the other and cut a section of schedule 40, one half-inch PVC.
  8. On one end of the PVC cut two small notches opposite of each other to hook into the fin of one of the perch clips, this will prevent the perch from spinning.
